Anne has been a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner for over 30 years. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from UCLA and her Master’s degree as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from UCSF. She has been caring for women of all ages for many years.
Anne has always had an interest in integrative medicine. Early on in her career, she worked in a small practice in Hawaii, where they used a holistic mind/body/spirit approach in treating their patients. During this same time, a good friend of hers was diagnosed with cancer. This friend incorporated both Western and integrative/functional medicine treatments in her healing process.
Based on these experiences, Anne began learning as much as possible about integrative medicine, plant-based nutrition, and alternative care treatments. Currently, Anne is expanding her education by pursuing an integrative medicine fellowship through the University of Arizona under Dr. Andrew Weil. In addition to this program, Anne is taking functional medicine courses to provide patients with a more comprehensive framework for optimal health and wellness, giving them alternative treatment options when conventional therapies are not meeting their needs.
Anne is interested in healing the body from within, starting with a good nutritional foundation, and using whole foods, along with appropriate supplements and medicine to support and enhance overall health and well-being. She hopes to support you in your pursuit of optimal wellness.
